Thailand’s constitution 2007 (B.E. 2550), Section 78 (7) stipulates that the state shall provide a political development plan and establish an autonomously political development council. Besides, Article 84(4) also stipulates that the state shall promote political strength of the people and provides the laws concerning the establishment of civil political development fund

In conclusion, the Act has the objectives in political development, promotion of virtue and ethics among persons holding political positions and government officials, as well as strengthening people’s political power.

Office of the Political Development Council is an independent non-government unit within King Prajadhipok’s Institute to support the operation under the power and duties of the Political Development Council and to conduct administrative and academic works under control of Chairman of the Political Development Council
